A New York City Wish List

A few days ago, I posted my 2016 travel wish list, listing places that I’d like to visit sometime next year and one of the places that I’m most excited about is New York City.

I’ve never been to NYC before and don’t remember the previous times I’ve been to the US because I was too young at the time, so I’m super excited to head over and check it out.

There are few quite touristy places in that I’d love to visit, including;

  • The Metropolitan Museum of Art,
  • The Guggenheim Museum,
  • The American Museum of Natural History,
  • Times Square,
  • Central Park,
  • The New York Public Library,
  • The Brooklyn Bridge and
  • The Brooklyn Flea Market

to name a few.

I have also been doing a bit of research and Katie from the Travelling Light suggested Eileen’s Special Cheesecake Shop, which is supposed to be the #1 cheesecake shop in New York.

I am also a bit of a Gossip Girl fan, and my friend Georgie is too, so we were thinking of taking a Gossip Girl tour, which would be a bit different, but at the same time allow us to see some of the sights, so we could kill two birds with one stone, so to speak.

And now is where I ask for your help! I would absolutely love to hear from you if you’ve ever been to New York and have any tips, recommended places to visit, eat or stay (I’m going to need help finding some relatively cheap, but comfortable accommodation).

Please feel free to leave a comment below, I’d love to hear about your experiences, so if you have blog posts as well, feel free to leave a link so I can check it out!
