A Tiny Topshop Treat

When it comes to competitions, I always have to enter. I get 101 emails a week from places with promotions and sales that I swiftly delete without opening. But it’s when the email boasts a competition or has a giant *WIN* in the subject line that my interest is captured. So it’s with this in mind that I hopped down to Topshop to try my luck at a competition and a super super cool one at that. Yes I am skint, yes I should be studying, yes I probably won’t win, but I went along anyway. I was in desperate need of some new items to add to my make-up bag so I thought I’d try Topshop’s range out for once. I’m one of those people who likes to shop around, I’ll give most things a try. So far the only make up item that I’ve bought more than twice has been Maybelline The Falsies mascara and the Benefit ‘They’re Real’ mascara, all my other make-up items are pretty much one-off’s. So this time I …

Winter Favourites

Haven’t done a favourites post in a very long time, but recently there have been a few items that I’m really enjoying and I thought I’d share them. First up: Christmas themed bedding: I bought this double-sided bedding set from Primark about two months ago. There is a very Christmasy side and then a navy blue, slightly less Christmas-y side which I’ve been showing until now when it’s acceptable to be Christmas-y. It’s warm, cute and was very cheap! Turtle-neck tops/jumpers: With the colder months here I’ve been investing in some long sleeved, warmer tops. I’ve really been loving turtle-necks at the moment, reminds me of my childhood when I used to rock the skivvys and overalls. I originally bought a black and white stripped top from Urban Outfitters and loved it so much that I got the same in black (yes, I have become one of those people). I also bought a grey and black turtle-neck jumper from Topshop (pictured above) and another grey top from Next. Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 camera: With everything being …

Shopping, Shopping, Shopping

30 June 2014 [There’s a vlog version here if it tickles your fancy] First things first, shopping. Like I’ve mentioned earlier, we had arrived in Europe the day the big summer sales started and just like in France, Germany had just as many good sales to take advantage of. We woke up at about 9.30 and quickly headed down to the breakfast area for breakfast… funny that. The dining area was really nice. The tables were a very sophisticated black, with lovely furniture and there was also a deck that looked out onto the small yard that ended in a tall, old brick wall that was covered in vines. Breakfast was buffet style, with the typical cereals, pastries, fruits and yoghurts as well as different things like antipasto type foods. We were also asked whether we wanted some of the hot breakfast, which today was scrambled eggs. Manned with a map that the hotel had given us the night before, we headed out, trying to find the shopping area of Dusseldorf. After not really knowing …

Girl Crushes x Bloggers | May 2014

I wrote this post sometime last year on my old blog and thought I’d post it here because I still love these two so much! For a while, a couple of super super super fashionable chicks (presumably sisters,) kept popping up everywhere on my Tumblr dash. At first I thought it was just a one-off street style snap, but as the photographs began stacking up on my queues, I realised these chicks were so fashionable it was unreal I was super jealous I needed to know who they were and I was super SUPER jealous. So, I did a bit of digging and found out they were Stef and Jess Dawson, fashion bloggers from Australia and, you guessed it– unbelievably stylish. Yes, I am new to this whole blogging thing, so I’m not in-the-know about all the popular bloggers, so no eye-rollin’ please. But pretty much this is a post expressing my girl crush on these gorgeous Aussie sisters and my envy at their outfits.   So go ahead, check them out at How Two Live if you …

FASHION WISH-LIST| March 2014

Update: Sorry guys, a lot of the images aren’t showing up anymore because I had just linked them in from websites, so that’s why there are a quite a few corrupted images! At the moment, new clothes and shoes are strictly in the “look, but don’t touch” box, otherwise my savings for my trip would go down the drain. If I was super rich though, here’s what I’d buy this month: SHOES: Shoes always get first mention because I love with them. The three shoes on my wish-list are all Windsor Smith shoes (surprise, surprise,) and I am hoping to get at least two pairs before going overseas (I am so sad that they don’t have Windsor Smith in Hong Kong… to my knowledge). 1. HAVEN If I could buy one item out of this whole blog post, it would most definitely be these! As soon as I saw Windsor Smith preview them I knew I had to get them! I can just imagine stomping around Cardiff in these through the winter months. Love! Love! …
