A New York City Wish List

A few days ago, I posted my 2016 travel wish list, listing places that I’d like to visit sometime next year and one of the places that I’m most excited about is New York City. I’ve never been to NYC before and don’t remember the previous times I’ve been to the US because I was too young at the time, so I’m super excited to head over and check it out. There are few quite touristy places in that I’d love to visit, including; The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Guggenheim Museum, The American Museum of Natural History, Times Square, Central Park, The New York Public Library, The Brooklyn Bridge and The Brooklyn Flea Market to name a few. I have also been doing a bit of research and Katie from the Travelling Light suggested Eileen’s Special Cheesecake Shop, which is supposed to be the #1 cheesecake shop in New York. I am also a bit of a Gossip Girl fan, and my friend Georgie is too, so we were thinking of taking a Gossip …

Travel Wish List: 2016

We may only be four months into 2015, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to begin dreaming up and concocting a travel plan for 2016. This year is a big year for me, I’m in my final year of university and will graduating at the end of the year, which is both an exciting but also very scary prospect. Because of this, along with the fact that I have very little money after my big 7 month trip just a few months ago, I have pretty much decided long distance travel will have to be designated for next year. There are still so many uncertainties about next year, but I’m hoping that I’ll have at least a month next year to fit in a bit of travel mileage. 2016 Wish List: Below are some of the places I’m hoping to get to by the end of 2016 *places that would be awesome, but not necessarily a MUST for me United States: New York City Orlando, Florida Los Angeles San Francisco* Europe: Scotland Dubrovnik, Croatia Ljubliana, …

My Travel Bucket List (2014/15)

Okay, so I don’t think this bucket-list is going to be incredibly adventurous, but my excuse is; it’s my first BIG independent trip. These are not in any particular order, but are just some of my goals and hopes for this upcoming trip.  Be able to hold a basic conversation in French: Because I’m going to be staying in France for around 3 months with an Aunt who knows limited-no English, I’m hoping that this will force me to use what little French I know and develop it a whole heap more! Try 9 new foods/dishes: I’m usually quite an adventurous eater, I’ll give almost everything a go. The only thing I’ve not been able to eat has been chicken feet at Yum Cha. If I was in another country and that was one of their traditional foods I’d totally eat it, at the moment though, not really my cuppa tea.  And why 9 foods you ask? Just simply because 9 is my lucky number. Make friends with people from at least 5 different countries: …

FASHION WISH-LIST| March 2014

Update: Sorry guys, a lot of the images aren’t showing up anymore because I had just linked them in from websites, so that’s why there are a quite a few corrupted images! At the moment, new clothes and shoes are strictly in the “look, but don’t touch” box, otherwise my savings for my trip would go down the drain. If I was super rich though, here’s what I’d buy this month: SHOES: Shoes always get first mention because I love with them. The three shoes on my wish-list are all Windsor Smith shoes (surprise, surprise,) and I am hoping to get at least two pairs before going overseas (I am so sad that they don’t have Windsor Smith in Hong Kong… to my knowledge). 1. HAVEN If I could buy one item out of this whole blog post, it would most definitely be these! As soon as I saw Windsor Smith preview them I knew I had to get them! I can just imagine stomping around Cardiff in these through the winter months. Love! Love! …
