My 101 Unique Travel Eats: Food Bucket List

I’ve seen quite a few bloggers do this over the past few months and I thought now that I have time I might as well see how well I do. I’m not expecting much, seeing as I’m definitely not the world explorer I hope to be, but here’s trying. The original list was compiled by Dealchecker called “Food Bucket List: 101 Unique Travel Eats“. Let’s see how I go: #9: Share a traditional Thanksgiving feast with family and friends in America, carved Turkey and pumpkin pie included. Try to break the wishbone and win so you can make a wish! Half a point– I shared a Thanksgiving feast with friends from America while we were in Cardiff. My neighbour’s parents came over from the States and cooked the two flats a delicious Thanksgiving feast and yes, pumpkin pie included! #10: Nibble a French crepe under the Eiffel Tower in the devastatingly romantic city of Paris, the most visited city in the world. Travel Wish List: 2016

We may only be four months into 2015, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to begin dreaming up and concocting a travel plan for 2016. This year is a big year for me, I’m in my final year of university and will graduating at the end of the year, which is both an exciting but also very scary prospect. My Travel Bucket-List: Revisited| How well did I do?

Oh dear, here we go! Before embarking on my big 7 month trip to Europe I set myself a few goals that I wanted to achieve. Now today, I’m going to review them and see how well I actually did. I’m not feeling too optimistic guys…  Be able to hold a basic conversation in French: Because I’m going to be staying in France for around 3 months with an Aunt who knows limited-no English, I’m hoping that this will force me to use what little French I know and develop it a whole heap more. -Unfortunately, I don’t think I can tick this one off. While my understanding of French has definitely improved, my spoken French is still abysmal. I can form sentences in my head that I think make sense, but I think it was a combination of nerves that prevented me from actually speaking them aloud. This is still something I really want to improve before I go back.  Try 9 new foods/dishes: I’m usually quite an adventurous eater, I’ll give almost everything …
