We went for a lovely trip just out of Dusseldorf to visit a pretty pink Schloss and walk around the grounds. We then had a walk around Düsseldorf’s Altstadt (old part of the city) before grabbing a bit to eat. You can check out the blogpost version here too. Advertisements
Once again, I have another vlog to share, and you can check out the blogpost version here. This was the first of four days in Dusseldorf, Germany, and one of the recommended things to do there is to shop, so shop we did! Hope you enjoy!
Basically just a quick vlog on the plane with a bit of a chat at the end. You can also check out my blogpost here.
Finally have time to edit my vlogs from my time in France and Germany last year, so here’s one of when Moana and I headed to Montmartre and the Sacre-Coeur. You can also check out the blog post here.
Last year while in Paris I visited the Chateau de Versailles, which was one of the most amazing experiences I’ve ever had. The palace and its grounds are stunning and the whole experience felt so surreal and as if I was inside a movie. I wrote a blogpost about it here, accompanied by photographs, but below is a vlog of the day, where I’ve compiled bits of footage I took whilst visiting the palace! Hope you enjoy!
Despite the fact that I had been dreaming for a white Christmas, that wasn’t to be the case, but my Christmas was lovely all the same! It was spent eating and drinking far too much and it was definitely special to have spent it with family that I don’t get to see very often. Here is a collection of photos I took during my short stay back in Vicq-sur-Breuilh. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Years!
Saying goodbye to 2014 was hugely scary but also hugely exciting! I spent New Years Eve on the banks of the Thames in London where, through the gaps between buildings I watched the beautiful fireworks display coming from the London Eye. It was a great way to spend NYE, despite freezing my butt off in the cold, and so surreal to have welcomed the coming year in London of all places! Sometimes I forget that there was a whole six months before I left to go overseas. Just so much excitement and adventure has been jam-packed into the last few months that I’ve felt so overwhelmed and probably can’t fathom so much happening in such a short space of time. 2014 has been the year where I’ve felt I have gained so much more independence. Being away from home for so long on my own, fending for myself, language barriers, there have been so many times when I felt out of my comfort zone and for that I am so happy and grateful, as …

This month has been a very chilled and relaxing month for me. I’ve been spending time on the farm that my aunty works on, pretty much doing nothing (and that’s a good thing). It’s been a lot of meeting new people, millions of cheek kisses and lots of delicious food. It’s crazy to think that in just over three weeks I’ll be waving goodbye to the farm life and going back to big cities for Uni in the UK. These past couple of weeks have been filled with lots of planning for Freshers week in Cardiff, (I am so excited,) finding my fellow flatmates and enrolling etc. It’s definitely making me more and more excited, and I’m already dreading having to leave, despite not even being there yet! I still have a lot to catch up on blogging-wise, it’s difficult without wifi on the farm (I have to drive 10 minutes away to even get 3G), but I’ll get there slowly and surely, especially once I get to Cardiff. Expect posts about Nice, Monaco, more …
3 July 2014 Today was a big travel day for us as we were leaving Germany by plane to go back to Paris and then taking a train down to Limoges. We woke up, had breakfast and then did last minute packing before checking out of our hotel. We still had a few hours to kill so off we trekked with our backpacks and suitcases to do some last minute shopping. We then headed to the big central station to catch the S-Bahn to the airport for our flight. After a bit of trouble checking in luggage, we had a wee bit of a rush (that’s an understatement) to our departure gate- which had changed last minute. The rush also included me forgetting my boarding pass at customs (that was one major freak out I had). Luckily one of the security found me before I had to do the quick sprint all the way back. We finally got on the plane safe and sound and had our super quick flight back to Paris where Catherine …
