Welcome to the second instalment of my four part, ‘Life After School Advice’ series. This is something that I’ve been wanting to do for a while and have collaborated with some of my close friends in order to do it. My friends and I all took slightly different paths after we graduated from high school, so this series is a way to shed light on the different things you can do after school and what it might be like, from people who have experienced it. We are by no means experts, but we are going by our own experiences. My hope is that this series will help people who are just about to leave school and are still unsure about what they want to do. Living the Student Life: Tips

Despite the fact that I’m nearly starting my third year of university, it wasn’t until a few months ago that I wasย able to experience the ‘real’ student life Going to university in Auckland and already living in Auckland meant that living at home with my parents was a whole lot easier and cheaper, and it is pretty much the normal thing to do if you’re already a JAFA (just another fucking Aucklander; apparently the rest of New Zealand hate us). This resulted in me staying at home all the time studying and watching television shows instead of socialising with the rest of the world. I was in my own little bubble most of the time. Living in a flat with 7 other people, all butย one who I had never seen or spoken to in my entire life was definitely a new and exciting experience, and it wasย honestly the best experience,ย EVER.
